Background:
In percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)for complex lesions, it was a problem to increase radiation exposure, contrast media and procedure time. Now novel angiography x-ray system Azurion (Philips)was approved. Azurion has the coronary road map systems (CRM). So, we used the CRM for complex PCI. Our aim was to investigate the usefulness of novel roadmap guided percutaneous coronary intervention (RG-PCI).
Methods:
In 670 consecutive patients 670 lesions were treated between June 2017 and March 2019, we analyzed 248 lesions (R group) with the CRM and Azurion (philips) and 422 lesions (N group) with conventional methods. We compared about results of PCI between both groups divided by the difficulty level.
Results:
No significant difference was detected in the baseline demographic. Dose of radiation in R group was lesser than N group (493.1¡¾388.6 vs. 636.9¡¾478.8mGy; p<0.01). Time of radiation in R group was shorter thanN group (14.0¡¾9.1 vs. 18.6¡¾11.1min; p=0.04). Dose of contrast media in R group was less than N group (119.3¡¾57.6 vs. 173.5¡¾78.7ml; p<0.01).

Conclusion:
In PCI, the radiation and contrast media were decreased in RG-PCI compared with conventional PCI. Therefore, we feel sure that RG-PCI was impact and safety.
